"Cyber
Communications" Intern in the MACC Marketing Department

MACC is a comprehensive performing and visual arts center located across from MCC |
Intern will help develop marketing material for MACC events and information, using MySpace, FaceBook, YouTube and blog sites. Intern will be provided with supervision and an institutional overview of the MACC as well as marketing guidance. It is helpful for the intern to have experience in generating webpages and cyber-social networking; should also be familiar with new generation communications such as blogs, wiki's. $8 - $10 per hour depending on experience; flexible hours. |

Located in Lahaina. Travel involved. Paid. Two part-time internships or one full-time internship possible. Intern will process inventory for events; process POP and marketing items for events; verify shipping product to/from events and warehouse. Will communicate with clients before and during events, verify product and POP shipments arrival/departure at events, reconcile event returns accurately and compile spreadsheets for inventory control. Staff Corporate Gifts events with inter-island travel time. Assist in Repairs and Customer Service departments as needed. |

Internships
range from trail work, bird recovery projects, natural area reserve
maintenance. On other islands, includes aquatic invasive species
mapping and control, historic fishpond restoration, habitat management
of public hunting areas, forestry and wildlife maintenance.

Hawaii Youth Conservation Corps is a year-round program providing hands-on learning experience for people interested in careers in natural resource management. |
HYCC's year-round internships is a 10-12 month commitment that places participants in entry-level conservation positions. Full-time members receive a monthly stipend of $1200 as well as an additional educational award of $4725 upon completion of the program. Other benefits include deferred student loans and, if eligible, general health care and child care. The program provides participants with some service gear, paid training on Oahu. Members must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Individuals from 18-30 years of age are encouraged to apply. No previous experience is necessary. Database Programmer | Gallerie Hawaii is a Front Street Lahaina art gallery that welcomes art patrons to view and select its contemporary and traditional works. | Intern will assist in updating the gallery's database program. Some knowledge of MS Excel and Access is preferred. Hours are negotiable; preferred internship days are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. Intern will be trained in the art business. Unpaid; OJT. |

Sentinel Silent Alarm |
Office Intern | Sentinel Alarm Company installs and services burglar alarms; cctv, intercom, fire detection, access control, and other low voltage personal or commercial alarm systems. |
Paid position. $9.00 per hour DOQ. 16-19 hours per week, between Monday and Friday. The office intern will perform basic office duties and accounting, customer relations and basic office practices. | Hui No Ke Ola Pono - Spring 2008 | Office Intern | Hui No Ke Ola Pono is a native Hawaiian health organization, primarily serving the Hawaiian population. The Hui Provides health enhancement, oral heath, medical, and behavioral health services. |
Intern will assist with office projects including case management; outreach screenings, depending on qualifications (Word, Excel experience). Stipend possible. Up to 20 hours per week. Monday through Friday. |

Restoration Field Technician

"Maui Coastal
Land Trust is a local non-profit organization with a mission to
preserve and protect coastal lands in Maui Nui for the benefit of
the natural environment and of current and future generations." 277 acre Waihe`e coastal dunes and wetlands refuse. Work environment is primarily outdoors, often hot and windy. |
Primary duties:
all aspects of habitat restoration, including: clearing invasive
species, planting indigenous species, controlling predators, monitoring
for new growth of invasive species. Training: identification of
indigenous and endemic flora and fauna; proper and safe handling
and use of habitat restoration equipment. Dynamics of wetlands ecology. Part-time. $12-15 per hour DOE. |
