University of Hawai'i System | Maui Community College
Student Housing
The College offers on-campus student housing that makes it possible for students from Lana‘i, Molokai, and outlying areas of Maui to attend classes on the Kahului campus. Mainland and international students are also welcome to apply. Hale Haumana is an alcohol-free facility with space for 44 students. Each apartment is fully furnished with a kitchen, living room, bath, and two bedrooms. Utilities except telephone are included in the rent. Central laundry and recreation facilities are available.
As of December 2004, the cost for residing in this facility is $997 per semester for a two-person bedroom. There is a $150 reservation-security deposit and a $10 application fee. To apply, call 242-6920 or write to the Student Housing office. Priority application deadlines are June 1 for Fall semester and Dec. 1 for Spring semester. Hale Haumana rates are subject to change
Please contact Fred De Aquino for more information.
An off-campus, private student housing apartment-style facility that will accommodate 400 students is being prepared for occupancy in August 2006. Updates will be added as this project progresses.
