BUSN150 Introduction to Business Computing

Introduces the role of computers in the evolution of an information-based society. Reviews history and need for information processing, basic information processing cycle and functions, processing capabilities of computers, system development, and program development. Provides students with experience in an operating system and business applications, such as word processing, database management, spreadsheets, and presentation software.

Recommended: BUSN20 or high school typing. (Formerly BCIS161.) 3cr., 3hr. lect./lab
