Marine Option Program
The principal mission of the Marine Option Program (MOP) is to provide ocean-related education to undergraduates.
What is MOP?
MOP is a system wide certificate program at the University of Hawaii that compliments any major. The common thread among students in the program is that they have an interest in learning about the ocean. We believe that all learning is not taught in a classroom, so we try to get out in the ocean as much as possible.
Maui Community College offers mainly two year associate degrees. We also have a University center where students can earn a bachelors degree from UH Manoa, UH Hilo or UH West Oahu. Some of the classes in these programs are taught over the Hawai'i interactive television system. (HITS)
