Services to Students with Disabilities

Students with disabilities, either permanent or temporary, may be provided with the following services: personal, academic and career counseling; admissions and financial aid applications and registration assistance; campus orientation; tutorial, reader, note taker, interpreter, and/or other academic support services as needed; campus accessibility map; and specifically designed auxiliary equipment to meet the needs of the disabled student.

Students desiring special services are advised to contact the Special Needs Coordinator as early as possible so that services may be arranged on a timely basis. Call Shane Payba at 984-3496.

In accordance with Section 84.4 of the federal rules and regulations governing Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, no qualified individual with a disability shall, on the basis of their disability, be excluded from participation in, be denied benefits of, or otherwise be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity which receives or benefits from federal financial assistance.


Services for Hearing Impaired

Deaf and hard of hearing individuals desiring information may contact the College by calling the TDI number 984-3325, or by using the text telephone relay service at 643-8833. A TTY pay phone (242-9869) is located at the Ka Lama building. Call Shane Payba at 984-3496 to obtain information about the programs, services, activities, and facilities available to persons with disabilities.
