Research Summary
My expertise lies in synthetic organic chemistry. Specifically, I have
specialized in natural products total synthesis. Natural products total
synthesis is the reconstruction of complex targets found in nature, conducted
in the laboratory from simple commercially available materials. This
is undertaken for many reasons but two of the main reasons are to address scarcity
problems and to develop new elegant ways of assembling complex carbon frameworks.
