NSF Marine Bioproducts Engineering Center: Cultivation of bacteria from deep-sea hydrothermal vents in high-pressure and high temperature samplers and reactors; isolation of acidophiles and thermophiles from New Zealand volcanoes and geothermal systems; establishment and maintenance of DNA and culture collections.
