You can reduce Web Registration problems and errors by completing
the following Pre-Registration Checklist. Use the menu to
your right as a quick guide to the questions on this form. If you have answered "yes"
to all of the questions, you may follow the link to MyUH to register.
If you have answered "yes" to all of the questions, you may
go to MyUH Portal (http://myuhportal.hawaii.edu) to register.
If you are not a current, new or transfer student, then you need to contact your
Home Institution's Student Services Office
(or Admissions Records Office) to determine your eligibility. (http://myuhinfo.hawaii.edu/page/studentservices)
The Online Tutorials will help prepare you for web registration. It will allow
you to preview MyUH with explanations, trouble shooting tips and important
information provided at each step of the process. It is strongly recommended
that you go through the tutorials before registering.
To find out when you can begin web registration, you need to know how many credits you have
earned at your Home Institution. The Registration Status Page will let you know what your
standing is. (The Online Tutorial will show you how to get to the Registration Status Page).
If you are still not sure, contact your Home Institution's Student Services
(Admissions & Records) Office.
When you know your standing, use the Registration Time Table
to look up the specific date and assigned time you may begin registration.
You will not be allowed to register until you have cleared any registration holds
you have. Check the Registration Status Page to view holds. You may clear your hold
at any UH System Cashier's Office, regardless of where the hold originated.
Be sure to check if your Academic Standing or Student Status prevents registration.
If you have questions about any holds you might have, contact your Home Institution's
Student Services Office.
Schedule an appointment with your Academic Advisor for major requirements, graduation
requirements, and/or transfer planning. Be sure to bring a copy of your Advising
Transcript to your appointment.
It is important you meet with your Academic Advisor
before registering. Many programs have complicated degree requirements or requirements
that courses be taken in a specific sequence. Your Academic Advisor will help you
effectively plan your schedule.
You need to make sure that you have met all of your course prerequisites and
requirements before you register. Failure to do so will result in Registration Errors.
You can find information about prerequisites and requirements in your
Home Institution's Schedule of Classes (SOC).
If you have questions about course prerequisites and requirements, make an appointment
with your academic advisor.
Registration Worksheets have been provided for you to view, fill-in and print out
before you register. Take this sheet to your academic advising appointment.
The Registration Worksheet should be done before you register.
Please go through this Checklist again. It seems you are not ready for web
registration. Pay special attention to the Online Tutorials.
