Each
year the University of Hawai`i is invited to nominate several candidates for
the Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship. The departments of The College of Natural
Sciences and the College of Engineering select qualified individuals, whose
names are submitted to a University of Hawai`i selection committee. The committee
then selects the final candidates, whose names are then forwarded to the national
selection committee. If you are a student majoring in mathematics, engineering,
or one of the natural sciences here at the University of Hawai`i and you are
interested in learning more about this scholarship, please contact your department
