Kapiolani Community College International Festival poster

Kapiʻolani Community College’s 24th annual International Festival is a four-day event running now through March 22. A showcase of international education and the various cultures of the world, the annual festival celebrates international educational efforts on the Kapiʻolani campus.

The festival is free and open to the public from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. each day. Parking is available behind Diamond Head Theatre.

Festival Features

Numerous guest speakers, performances of ethnic dance and music, art exhibits, films, poetry and literature readings, and more will take place in the ʻOhiʻa Cafeteria, and other classrooms around campus, including:

  • Capoeira Besouro: Afro-Brazilian Martial Arts
  • Tradition of the Balinese Warrior: Baris
  • Pipa and Ruan: Musical Traditions of China
  • Traditional Beauty: Fashion Show and Exhibits

  • Music and Dance of Tahiti: UHM Tahitian Ensemble
  • Chinese Lion Dance and Kung Fu: Year of the Dragon
  • Khanate of the Golden Horde
  • Duchicela: Musical Spirit of the Andes
  • Be-Staff Beauty College of Japan
  • Flamenco Dance of Spain
  • Middle Eastern Dance Artists of Hawaiʻi
  • The Tradition of the Zheng
  • International Films
