It’s time for the University of Hawaiʻi’s 2012 Aloha United Way campaign kick-off for Oʻahu campuses. This year the campaign runs September 5–October 5, 2012.

This is the university community’s opportunity to really make an impact on the families who rely on the programs run by Aloha United Way partner agencies. For over 90 years, Aloha United Way has served as a fundraiser for Oʻahu non-profits and as an agency that mobilizes the caring power of the community to make a difference in people’s lives. Donations help critical community service organizations assist more than 500,000 individuals in areas ranging from education to poverty prevention.

In continuing UH’s tradition of substantial support for Aloha United Way, the university has set the 2012 goal at $385,000.

Due to the repair work being done at the Les Murakami Stadium, the annual softball tournament will be on hiatus this year, however organizers hope to see everyone back out on the field next year.

Consider making a donation to AUW through departmental pledge cards or via events organized by department coordinators. Each dollar is an investment in a better community for all of Oʻahu’s families.
