Free ride-n-drives of electric cars, including the extended-range electric Chevy Volt, will be offered as part of National Plug In Day events at UH Maui College on Saturday, September 22.

More than 50 cities across the country will be celebrating the benefits of electric vehicles in observance of the second annual National Plug In Day on Sunday, September 23.

Maui’s electric vehicle, or “EV,” drivers and enthusiasts will participate in Maui’s first celebration of National Plug In Day with events on Friday, September 21, and Saturday, September 22.

Events on Maui are organized by the UH Maui College MauiEVA Project and the Maui Electric Auto Association to highlight the fun, clean-air benefits and cost-savings of electric cars.
