Eddie Palmieri leads the renowned Eddia Palmieri/Brian Lynch Quartet

The University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa’s Outreach College invites the public to the 5th annual Mānoa Jazz and Heritage Festival on October 6, 6 p.m. at Andrews Ampitheatre. Enjoy an evening of music from the best local professional and educational jazz groups paired with this year’s featured guest artist, the Eddie Palmieri-Brian Lynch Quartet.

In an unprecedented small group setting for “The Sun Of Latin Music” Palmieri, the quartet is the latest manifestation of the 20-plus-year musical relationship between Lynch and Palmieri and their collaboration for their Grammy Award winning CD The Brian Lynch/Eddie Palmieri Project: Simptico. Two of the most accomplished musicians around today, Lynch and Palimieri are accompanied by bassist Luques Curtis and Grammy nominated drummer/composer Dafnis Prieto.

The Mānoa Jazz and Heritage Festival is a University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa Outreach College production and part of a Performing Arts Presenters of Hawaiʻi tour sponsored in part by Baus Engineering and the Mānoa Arts and Minds Series, with funding provided by the City and County of Honolulu, Hawaiʻi Tourism Authority and the Hawaiʻi State Foundation on Culture and the Arts.
