ACM Night is a unique cultural event for the whole family

The University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa’s Academy for Creative Media invites the public to ACM Night at the Hawaiʻi International Film Festival on Thursday, October 18, 6:15 p.m. at Regal Dole Cannery Theatres.

The event features 10 student films including award-winning dramas, comedies and documentaries. Also at 4 p.m. is Shanghai Shorts, an anthology of short films from ACM’s SMART Exchange Program with Shanghai University.

Tickets are available through HIFF’s online box office.

  • Emily at 2:30 p.m., directed by Kristin Kouke (An ACM/Cinema Italiano Future Filmmmaker Award winner)
  • Ka Pua, directed by Erin Lau (An ACM and Shanghai International FIlm Festival Documentary Award winner)
  • Fine Kine Dining, directed by Richard Dang
  • I Will Become Waves, directed by Jason Kaneshiro
  • Shanghai Market, episodes directed by Erin Lau, Kristin Kouke and Cheng Yi Shi
