UH holding Native Hawaiian scholarship workshops

Native Hawaiian Scholarship ʻAha event from 2012–2013.

The University of Hawaiʻi presents the 2013–2014 Native Hawaiian Scholarship ʻAha, a series of free presentations for high school students, parents, teachers, current college students, adult students, counselors or anyone interested in learning about the resources and financial aid available to Native Hawaiian students including eligibility criteria and qualification requirements.

The effort is part of a statewide initiative to bring Native Hawaiian scholarship opportunities to underserved communities in Hawaiʻi.

The presentations are being made possible by a partnership between UH, GEAR UP Hawaiʻi, the Office of Hawaiian Affairs, Pacific Financial Aid Association and Native Hawaiian Education Association.

OʻAHU

  • Mānoa: November 7, 2013, UH Mānoa Campus Center, 10:30 a.m.–1 p.m.
  • Kāneʻohe: December 4, 2013, Windward Community College, Hale ʻĀkoakoa 101, 6–8 p.m.
  • Kalihi: December 5, 2013, Honolulu Community College Loui Center, 6–8 p.m.
  • Kapolei: December 10, 2013, UH West Oʻahu Student Center, 6–8 p.m.
