International Awareness Month at Kauaʻi CC

February is International Awareness Month and Kauaʻi Community College is offering a month full of international learning opportunities, February 3–26. International Awareness Month informs students of their study abroad options, celebrates Kauaʻi’s multicultural heritage and fosters international and global perspectives.

The events each week will focus on different aspects of international awareness including women’s issues, indigenous politics and sustainability. Event highlights include the showing of the widely acclaimed film Half the Sky–Turning Oppression into Opportunity, a worldwide flash mob to end violence against women and Kauaʻi international alumna presentation “Island Future–RE-viewing Struggles of Okinawa and Hawaiʻi.”

For the full event schedule, visit the Kauaʻi CC campus news site.
