Hawaiʻi Community College will be offering a free open house event on Tuesday, July 22, 5–7 p.m. in Building 379, Room 1 to provide information to the public on new online certificate programs aimed at helping individuals develop and improve work-ready skills.

Staff will be available to explain how students can join the “fast track” to earn college credits and certificates in the following areas:

  • sustainable construction
  • sustainable lot design
  • virtual office assistant
  • business essentials
  • retail essentials
  • entrepreneurship
  • business foundations

There will be demonstrations of an online classroom and gadgets used for geographical information systems, geomatics and land survey practices. Information on non-credit training in process technology and industrial maintenance and boating safety certification will also be available.

Hear about internship opportunities and how work experience, military service and professional training could count towards college credit.
