Windward Community College’s Hōkūlani Imaginarium features Big Bird, stargazing and more in August.

August 8 (7 and 8 p.m.): One World, One Sky: Big Bird’s Adventure—Elmo and Big Bird live in the United States and Hu Hu Zhu lives far away in China, but they discovered that they still see the same stars at night! Runtime: approximately 24 minutes. Suitable for preschool to age 2.

August 13 (7 p.m.): Stargazing—Find out what stars, planets and moon phase can be seen in the sky every second Wednesday of the month. Learn how to identify the constellations and listen to mythological stories about them. Get the update on current celestial happenings, such as meteor showers and eclipses. Runtime: approximately 1 hour. Suitable for general audiences.

August 22 (7 p.m.): Earth, Moon and Sun—Join this fast-paced and fun-filled show as it explores the wonders of lunar phases, sunrises and sunsets, eclipses, space travel to our Moon and other puzzles. Especially suited for children from kindergarten to age six.

August 27 (7 p.m.): Led Zeppelin—This show delves further into the surrealistic environments that any other music entertainment show, transporting visitors into dozens of mood provoking scenes. Zeppelin fans of all ages are welcome.

Ticket information

Tickets can be reserved by calling the Office of Continuing and Community Education at (808) 235-7433. Reserved tickets must be picked up and paid for at the box office at least 15 minutes prior to show time, or tickets may be sold to other customers. Tickets can be purchased on the day of the performance at the Imaginarium box office.

Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to show time to purchase tickets. Box office opens 30 minutes before show time.
