Attendees from the 2012 Women Leaders in Higher Education conference

Oustanding women in education will inspire and inform at the Women Leaders in Higher Education’s annual conference at Leeward Community College on Saturday, April 18, 2015. The conference runs from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and will feature women university leaders from across the state.

Former University of Hawaiʻi Executive Vice President/Provost for Academic Affairs Linda Johnsrud will participate in a morning panel discussion and present at a breakout session entitled, “Leading for Change.” Johnsrud currently serves as vice chancellor for academic affairs for the University of Texas System.

Attendees will also benefit from participation in discussions on topics such as how to implement the regulations required in Title IX, how to balance personal and professional responsibilities and how to develop leadership skills.

Women Leaders in Higher Education is a networking organization of women leaders in higher education and draws its membership from both public and private universities across the state. It is affiliate with the American Council on Education (ACE) Women’s Network.
