On Friday, June 26, environmental law experts, jurists and scholars met at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa William S. Richardson School of Law for a symposium discussing Hawaiʻi’s newly established environmental court, which will begin operation on July 1. The panel addressed questions about the court and its jurisdiction as well as its potential impact in Hawaiʻi.

A news conference panel included Doug Codiga of the Hawaiʻi State Bar Association, Cynthia Thielen and Chris Lee of the Hawaiʻi House of Representatives, C. Raj Kumar of O.P. Jindal Global University, Associate Justice Michael D. Wilson of the Hawaiʻi State Supreme Court and Dean Avi Soifer and Associate Dean Denise Antolini of the William S. Richardson School of Law.
