University of Hawaiʻi students are invited to join the National Student Day celebration this Thursday, October 8 at all UH campus bookstores. National Student Day spotlights and celebrates students giving back to their communities through events in campus stores across the U.S. and Canada.
As part of Thursday’s celebration, students are invited to visit their UH campus bookstore to receive free giveaways and to enter one-day contests for prizes from UH Bookstore business partners.
Students may also enter the National Student Day Contest sponsored by the National Association of College Stores to win a $500 UH Bookstores gift card. Each selfie shared in the store with hashtag #GIVEME5NSD will serve as a contest entry and will donate $1 to support Reading is Fundamental, a literacy nonprofit. Contest closes October 22, 2015. For contest rules, visit the National Student Day Contest website.
In addition, regular priced T-shirts, hats and select books will be on sale in-store for National Student Day. Bookstore events are free and open to the public.
