Honolulu Community College, the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa Institute for Astronomy and Honolulu CC’s Hawaiian Center will be hosting a free public event to celebrate the unofficial fandom holiday of George Lucus’s film Star Wars on May 4, 6 p.m. May the 4th Be with You will be held at Honolulu CC’s Hawaiian Center, Building 20.

The evening will feature Star Wars themed presentations, star gazing, keiki activities, traditional Hawaiian navigation, cosplay, characters with the 501st Legion Hawaiʻi and light saber demonstrations.

“This is a family friendly event and we encourage the public to come explore Honolulu Community College,” shares Michael Ferguson, associate professor and division chair of natural sciences and math.
