Hawaiʻi Community College and the Hilo Veteran’s Center will host a Veterans Resource, Education and Job Fair at the Hilo campus July 8, 10 a.m.–2 p.m.
Local businesses, veterans service organizations, community service organizations and other groups will be on hand to talk about the jobs and services that are available.
In addition, the event will feature breakout sessions led by experts in which veterans can learn about benefits, financial planning, educational planning, career services and resume writing.
“There are many resources available in the community to help veterans with careers and education,” said Sue Dunwoody, the Hawaiʻi CC veteran program specialist. “The goal of this event is to bring those resources together in one place so it’s easy for veterans to get information and make connections that will help them succeed.”
