University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa student Kauʻi Kaina, who will be the first master of fine arts (MFA) graduate from the Hawaiian theatre and playwriting program, will be directing Nā Kau A Hiʻiaka, March 9–11 at BYUHawaiʻi’s McKay Auditorium.

Kaina is under the direction of Professor Hailiʻōpua Baker in the UH Mānoa Department of Theatre and Dance. Nā Kau A Hiʻiaka is Kaina’s MFA thesis production.

Nā Kau A Hiʻiaka cast members are former or current Hawaiian language student at UH Mānoa or BYU Hawaiʻi, and/or a former Hawaiian language immersion student.
