Kendra T. Oishi

The University of Hawaiʻi Board of Regents announces the hiring of Kendra T. Oishi as executive administrator and secretary. Oishi will be responsible for planning, coordinating and directing the administrative support services for the board and started on November 14, 2017.

She comes to UH from the Department of Education (DOE) where she was director of policy, innovation, planning and evaluation as well as liaison to the State Public Charter School Commission for the past two years.

Prior to her work with the DOE, Oishi served as director of policy in the Office of the Governor, as budget chief for the Senate Ways and Means Committee and as a legislative analyst for the House of Representatives Majority Staff Office.

Oishi earned a bachelor’s degree in history from UH West Oʻahu and master’s degree in public administration from the University of San Francisco.
