The culture of Samoa is represented through dance by UH Hilo volunteers.

The University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo International Student Association hosts International Nights, a show representing the cultures of UH Hilo, February 23–24 at the UH Hilo Performing Arts Center.

Performers volunteer their time and effort in preparing for and executing their performances—a testament to the willingness of UH Hilo’s international students to share their cultures with others. This year’s performers represent Japan, Pohnpei, Philippines, Korea, Samoa, Tahiti, Palau, Ireland, Tonga, India, the U.S. and the Marshall Islands.

International Nights is a tradition spanning three decades and is a favorite event on campus among students, the community and visitors.
