The University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa’s College of Education was ranked in the top third of education graduate schools in the nation by U.S. News and World Report’s 2014 U.S News Best Graduate Schools. The college was 65 out of 177 schools ranked.

For more than a decade, the College of Education has made it into the top 50 to 100 in the teacher preparation schools category. The college continues to rank among the top external funding recipients for research, having been awarded more than $36 million in contracts and grants in 2012. The college was also one of the top 100 online education programs in 2012.

“The College of Education has consistently been in the top tier of programs in the nation, recognizing the exceptional work of our faculty in serving the education needs of the state and region. This latest ranking recognizes our efforts to improve educational outcomes for all our students,” said Dean Donald Young.

A recent American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education report showcased the quality of teacher preparation programs in the nation, and the College of Education’s programs proved to be aligned with the report’s findings.
