The University of Hawaiʻi Board of Regents has approved Cynthia Quinn as its executive administrator and secretary of the Board of Regents.

“Cyndi Quinn will bring a wealth of experience to the board and will make a significant contribution to the work of the board,” said Board Chair John Holzman. “The regents really look forward to working with her.”

Quinn is currently a faculty specialist with the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa’s William S. Richardson School of Law. She most recently served as the interim associate dean for student services with the School of Law. In that capacity, she was responsible for the oversight of the student services program including professional development, counseling, orientation, graduation and other related student programs. Prior to that, Quinn served in a faculty position as the director of communications and external relations for the School of Law.

Quinn, who enjoyed an 18-year law career in both private and public sectors prior to joining the School of Law, earned her juries doctor and a bachelors degree from UH Mānoa, and an associates degree from Kapiʻolani Community College.

Quinn’s appointment will be effective September 1, 2013.
