The Hōkūlani Imaginarium at Windward Community College warms up for the holidays with Season of Light, a family friendly, visually rich show about the darkest and coldest time of the year.

Despite the chilly weather, winter is home to some of the warmest and brightest celebrations. The show explains why earth undergoes seasons and traces origins of the world’s most enduring customs from Christmas trees to the Hanukkah Menorah, Santa to the Star of Bethlehem.

Season of Light also includes astronomy. The audience will discover constellations of the Northern Hemisphere and the show will conclude with a discussion of the possible astronomical explanations for the Star of Bethlehem.

Season of Light will run on Friday, December 12 at 7 p.m., Saturday December 13 at 10 a.m. and Friday December 19 at 7 p.m.

  • $6 UH students & staff with UH ID
  • $6 military with ID
  • $6 senior citizens (65+)
  • $7 general admission

Tickets can be purchased on the day of the performance at the Imaginarium box office. Please arrive at least 15 minutes ahead of show time to purchase tickets. Box office opens 30 minutes before show time. Credit cards are not accepted.
