To celebrate their 20th year in Hawaiʻi, the Hawaiʻi Wushu Center will be bringing an international Wushu Tournament and Exhibition to the State of Hawaiʻi for the very first time on October 24–25, 2015. The two day event will be held in the Klum Gym at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa and is sponsored by the Confucius Institute at UH Mānoa.

“Wushu” encompasses both contemporary Chinese martial arts as well as traditional Chinese arts such as Kung Fu and Tai Chi Chuan. These arts integrate and strengthen the body with the mind and spirit to improve mental health and help eliminate internal illness and stress from the individual.

The two day event features exhibitions by Chinese masters, instruction available to the public, and friendly competition in the many forms of Chinese wushu martial arts.
