Windward Community College

The Windward Community College Office of Career and Community Education announced a new partnership with Hawaiʻi Small Business Development Center (Hawaiʻi SBDC). Under the agreement, business consultants from Hawaiʻi SBDC will meet on campus with Windward CC student entrepreneurs and community members to provide free advice and consultation on a wide range of business topics: starting a business, strategy formation, pursuing financing, marketing and sales, creating a financial management system and improving company performance and more.

“Our office recognizes the contributions of our KoʻolaupokoHawaiʻi SBDC significantly enhances our ability to better serve our community,” said Michael Moser, director of Windward CC’s Office of Career and Community Education.

“This agreement extends our reach to the Windward side of Oʻahu, bringing our services to Windward CC students and Windward residents who are planning to start businesses, or to owners and senior managers of existing businesses. This is the first element of a plan to further leverage our resources for the achievement of common goals,” said Joseph Burns, director of Hawaiʻi Small Business Development Center–Oʻahu.

The Hawaiʻi SBDC is a program of the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo funded in part through a Cooperative Agreement No. SBAHQ-16-B-0048 with the U.S. Small Business Administration.
