A series of public service announcements (PSA) highlighting the achievements of the University of Hawaiʻi’s ten campuses will begin airing on KFVE The Home Team in October 2016. The PSA campaign is being provided to UH free of charge by KFVE.

KFVE The Home Team has a long history of supporting the University of Hawaiʻi in many ways, and we feel that it is important to provide UH the opportunity to showcase the good work and positive impact its students and researchers are having here at home and around the world,” said KFVE General Manager John Fink. 2017 will mark the fourth consecutive year that KFVE has provided the free airtime to UH to promote its educational highlights, with the airtime given to UH having an estimated value of more than $50,000 annually.

The UH commencement ceremony on Molokaʻi that only happens once every four years and an internationally celebrated UH Mānoa research project that simulated a mission to Mars will be the subjects of the first two PSAs to air.

“We can’t thank John Fink and the KFVE team enough for helping us share the great stories of our students and faculty,” said UH President David Lassner. “There are amazing things happening on our campuses across the islands every day as we make great strides in providing high-quality and affordable higher education to the people of Hawaiʻi while addressing the challenges and opportunities of our state and the world.”
