External Affairs & University Relations
From his early days as an electronic technician to his more recent years as the network administrator and computer repair technician, Tsujimura‘s efforts have improved the quality of life of the Leeward campus. Colleagues know him as the go-to guy for anything that has to do with a computer, network system or hardware issue on campus. He finds quick, efficient and cost-effective solutions to every problem encountered.
Students or interns who have worked under Tsujimura appreciate the hands-on training he has provided them, which has prepared them for employment or advancement in the information technology field. His efforts in the local high schools have also allowed the larger community in the Leeward area to benefit from his knowledge and expertise.
Outside of his job-related duties, Tsujimura actively participates in a wide variety of activities on campus and off, including volunteering countless hours to the annual Craft and Family Fun Fair and Taste of the Stars events; serving as an advisor on the Clerical Staff Council; and participating in all the IT group departmental planning and activities.
A colleague comments, "Jackson brings not only all of his knowledge and skill to his job, but his generous personality and his willingness to help everyone no matter what the situation."
Tsujimura along with other UH award recipients will be recognized at a system-wide ceremony on September 19, 2006.
