The Aloha Section PGA Foundation has announced a pledge of $170,000 to be paid over four years to the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa athletics department. These funds will provide scholarships to assist student athletes on the men's and women's golf teams at the University of Hawaii at Mānoa.

"On behalf of the 260 members and apprentices from Aloha Section of PGA, it is our privilege to partner with Castle Resorts & Hotels and the UH Foundation to provide $50,000 towards scholarships for the UH Mānoa Men's and Women's golf program. PGA looks forward in developing this partnership with UH Mānoa Athletics as they recruit marque student-athletes to their program," said Jim Haugh, Aloha PGA Section Executive Director/CEO.

The Aloha Section PGA Foundation has the mission of developing and promoting interest in the game of golf while enhancing the lives of those that participate. Core values such as honesty, respect, integrity, courtesy and perseverance are reinforced through foundation programs.

"Partnerships with groups like the Aloha Section PGA Foundation are key to our ability to offer much needed scholarships to attract and retain stellar athletes," said Jim Donovan, UH Mānoa Athletics Director. "We thank them for their generosity and are looking forward to nurturing the golf champions of tomorrow."
