UH Hilo pharmacy dean to appear on TV during American Pharmacists Month

Dean John M. Pezzuto discusses the progress of the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo College of Pharmacy on Big Island and Oʻahu television this month, sponsored by the Hawaiʻi Pharmacist Association (HPhA) in honor of American Pharmacists Month.

The half-hour “HPhA Celebrating Pharmacists Month” broadcast airs on Channel 54 in Hilo on Na Leo O Hawaiʻi Saturday, October 17, 3 p.m., Tuesday, October 20, 9:30 a.m., Thursday, October 22, 9:30a.m., Monday, October 26, 5:30 p.m., and Wednesday, October 28, 5 p.m. Oʻahu show dates are Wednesday, October 21, 1:30 p.m., Thursday, October 22, 9:30 p.m., Wednesday, October 28, 9:30 a.m., and Thursday, October 29, 9:30 p.m. on Channel 52.

Other participants on the show and their topics include Lois M. Nash, M.S., system director of pharmacy for Hawaiʻi Pacific Health, Kapiʻolani Medical Center, "Representing Hospital Pharmacists,” Patricia Drury, certified pharmacy technician, Kapiʻolani Medical Center, "Representing Pharmacy Technicians,” and Sue-Ann Yasuoka, registered pharmacist, Times Supermarket, "Representing Community Pharmacists."

HPhA is the only volunteer organization that represents pharmacy practice in the State of Hawaiʻi.
