'Green' journalist Mindy Pennybacker to speak on May 2

Environmentally savvy journalist and author Mindy Pennybacker will give a free public lecture on Monday, May 2, from 12:30-1:30 p.m. in Bilger Hall 152 as part of the Rhetoric for Social Justice speaker series. She will share her ideas and discuss her latest book, “Do One Green Thing: Saving the Earth Through Simple, Everyday Choices.”
The prolific author specializes in personal and environmental health, and in helping consumers identify truly, verifiably green products. Pennybacker is a former editor of the Honolulu Weekly, and has been published in The Nation, New York Times and Huffington Post. For 11 years, she was editor-in-chief of The Green Guide and co-founder of
