HamSlam
At the Ka Leo Arts Festival on McCarthy Mall last semester, Hamilton Library sponsored an hour-long slam poetry session.  As a result, over sixty students supported a request to have slam poetry in the Library this Spring semester.

Backed by student request, funded by the Student Activity Program and Fee Board, and hosted by the UH Mānoa Library, the first HamSlam session will begin on Thursday, Feb. 16 in the Hamilton Library Sunroom (1st floor behind the mural).  There will be three slam poetry and music open mic sessions on Thursdays during this semester: February 16, March 15, and April 19, all beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Enjoy finger foods (while supplies last) and support talented performers in an open mic format for slam poetry and music with national slam poetry legend, Kealoha Wong.  Come and sign-up on the clipboard to perform or just grab a chair and sit back to enjoy the performances!  Wong will be the facilitator for the session.

Mahalo to Hawaiʻi Slam, Aloha Movement Project and HI Poet Society for helping publicize the event.
