UH Manoa kicks off Homecoming Week 2012 from October 7-14.  The full week of activities includes a Homecoming Fair on Friday, October 12, on the Clarence T.C. Ching Field, with special Athletics events and more.
 
Alumni Nights – UH Alumni Association paid members will receive a special “Alumni Night” discount of 30% off ticket prices (maximum of eight) to the Homecoming football and volleyball games. A valid UHAA membership card is required when purchasing tickets at the Stan Sheriff Center or the Aloha Stadium (football only) box offices. Tickets are in special sections and supplies are limited. Sunday, October 7
  • 12 noon-5 p.m., “Framing Paradise: Photography and Waikiki” Opening and Reception, UH Manoa Art Gallery. Free and open to the public.
  • 12 noon-5 p.m., “GET AWAY,” an interactive photo collage held in conjunction with “Framing Paradise,” UH Manoa Commons Gallery. Free and open to the public.
  • 5 p.m., Women’s Soccer: UH vs. Cal State Fullerton, Waipio Peninsula Soccer Stadium. Free and open to the public.

  • 5 p.m.-7:30 p.m., UHM Nursing Alumni Homecoming Pau Hana Party, Webster Hall, room 203, tours of the UH Translational Health Science Simulation Center, reception.
 
Tuesday, October 9
  • 9:30 a.m., Homecoming Golf Tournament, Hawaii Prince Golf Course, activities include pre-game ceremonies for the Fallen Warriors, lunch, golf, silent auction, dinner and award ceremony.
 
Wednesday, October 10
  • 2 p.m.-7:30 p.m., UHAA Golden Scholars Reunion, UH Manoa, UHAA will welcome the UH graduates of 1962 as the newest Golden Scholars.
 
Thursday, October 11
  • 3 p.m.-8 p.m., Ka Leo Arts Festival, McCarthy Mall, student artist displays, student performances, artist showcase, special events and interactive arts. Free and open to the public.
  • 5:30 p.m.-9 p.m., Meet Up!, the M Nightclub, UHAA members, UH alumni, UH ohana (student, faculty, staff, supporters) and the general public are invited.
  • 6 p.m.-7 p.m., Daeufer Lecture: “Transforming Education,” Architecture Auditorium, public lecture for those in and/or with an interest in early childhood education in Hawaii. Free and open to the public.
 
Friday to Sunday, October 12-14

  • 5:30 p.m.-7 p.m., Inaugural Michael J. Marks Lecture, Law School Moot Courtroom, lecture titled, “Small Business and Collateral Policies in Government Procurement,” refreshments to follow, for Richardson School of Law alumni only. For questions about this event, please e-mail lawevent@hawaii.edu.
  • 7 p.m., Women’s Volleyball: UH vs. Cal State Northridge, Stan Sheriff Center, ticket prices vary. Open to the public. Purchase tickets here.

  • 4:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m., 5th Annual “Holmes”coming Celebration, Holmes Hall, College of Engineering alumni, faculty, staff and students. Also invited are people in the engineering industry.
