Institutional Analyst John Stanley awarded Best Presentation at conference
University of Hawaiʻi at MānoaCAIR is a regional chapter of the Association of Institutional Research (AIR) and is dedicated to fostering of unity and cooperation among persons having interests and activities relating to institutional research in post-secondary education. The CAIR Conference is an annual conference where institutional research practitioners, scholarly researchers, and higher education decision makers from California and surrounding states meet to share research and learn from each other. There are approximately 250 attendees to the conference every year.
Stanley’s presentation focused on the underlying quantitative methodology (cluster analysis) used to make institutional comparisons with Mānoa while integrating stakeholder’s feedback. As the Best Presentation awardee, Stanley will receive special recognition at the 2013 CAIR conference; will be provided a travel stipend to attend the AIR Forum in Long Beach; and his presentation will be featured on the CAIR website.
