The 25th annual Hawai‘i Physics Olympics & Regional Bridge Building Contest will be held on Saturday, February 22, from 8:30-11 a.m. on the UH Mānoa campus in the Physical Science Building and outside Watanabe Hall.

About 120 high school students, in 30 teams from public and private schools on O‘ahu will challenge each other in five fun events based on concepts in physics, plus an optional bridge-building contest.  Testing of bridges entered will take place in Physical Science 217 throughout the morning. Following will be an awards ceremony from 11:30-noon in Physical Science 217.

The events are designed and run by students from UH Mānoa, Kapiʻolani Community College, Leeward Community College, Brigham Young University Hawaiʻi, and Chaminade University.

The public and media are welcome to attend, but space for viewing the events is limited and seating may not be available for spectators.
