The University of Hawaiʻi Academy for Creative Media System together with the University of Hawaiʻi – West O‘ahu will host a Creative Media Masters Series presentation featuring Actor and Director Justin Chon. The Masters Series is part of UH West Oʻahu’s Creative Media concentration and aims to increase student understanding of the art and business of content creation. All presentations are free and open to students, faculty, and the public.

Hollywood Actor and Director Justin Chon will discuss his career and creative influences followed by a question and answer session with UH West Oʻahu students.

Justin Chon is best known as Jeff Chang, the star of 21 and Over, with fans also recognizing him from The Twilight Saga, frequent television appearances, and a constant presence on YouTube, often with his buddy, Kev Jumba. A southern California native, Justin Chon’s career began in 2005 when he acted in the acclaimed TV series Jack & Bobby, then as Peter Wu in the Disney Channel film Wendy Wu: Homecoming Warrior and as Tony Lee in the Nickelodeon sitcom Just Jordan. Chon has also starred, produced and directed two films in Hawaiʻi, Hang Loose and Man Up. He recently starred in Revenge of the Green Dragons, executive produced by Martin Scorsese. Chon’s latest film, Seoul Searching, premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival.
