The Hawai'i Institute for Contemporary Music features lectures, concerts and a piano competition Aug. 4–8 at Manoa’s Architecture auditorium. The institute was developed to bring emerging composers and pianists together in a week of innovative music making, while examining issues in contemporary music. (808) 944-2977
