Angel Magno, Gwen Nakamura and Angel Magno were recognized for their outstanding service.
Magno is an agricultural research technician and farm foreman with the College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources. He is responsible for the management of a team that implements field experiments and collects research data in Hawaiʻi County. Magno does his job exceptionally well. Nakamura is the assistant band director and also serves as assistant director of the marching band and director of the concert band for the Music Department and Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. Her dedication has prompted some to recognize her as the Warriors’ No. 1 fan, as she enthusiastically energizes band and audience members with her dance moves, tambourine playing and her signature balloon hat. Yoshida is the working supervisor-janitor with the Building and Grounds Management Office. Described as a dedicated and respectful worker, he often lends a hand during staff shortages or particularly arduous jobs.
