Kudos for Hilo’s Catherine Becker, Robert Fox and Chris Frueh and Kapiʻolani’s Robert Franco.
Catherine Becker, Hilo associate professor, was awarded a Finger Lakes Project Mini-Grant as part of a partnership with Ecovillage Ithaca. Becker will develop an online project that teaches how communication can help foster sustainable behaviors.
Hilo Professor Robert Fox had two papers accepted for presentation at the 60th International Astronautical Congress in Daejeon, Republic of Korea. The papers are titled “Operating A Lunar Analog Test Site: Business and Entrepreneurial Considersations” and “An Innovative Approach to Connecting Science and Culture.”
Robert Franco, Kapiʻolani director of the Office for Institutional Effectiveness, has been invited to join the advisory board for two Association of American Colleges and Universities publications, Diversity and Democracy and DiversityWeb.
Chris Frueh, Hilo professor, presented “Telemedicine for Behavioral Healthcare” at an invited dean’s talk at the College of Behavioral and Community Sciences, University of South Florida, Tampa, FL.
