Mānoa Associate Professor Cecily Wolfe and a multi-institutional team of researchers mapped the deep-sea origins of the Hawaiian Hotspot. The findings were published in Science magazine.

Community College Leadership Champions Chosen

The UH Community Colleges selected Ryan Daniels, Maui; Sherri Fujita, Hawaiʻi, Sandra Hoshino, Leeward, Kristine Korey-Smith, Kapiʻolani; Carla Rogers, Windward; Calvin Shirai, Kauaʻi and Preshess Willets-Vaquilar, Honolulu for the 6th Generation for the Community Colleges Leadership Champions Program.

Visiting Engineering Professorship Established

The Dr. Alfred A. Yee Visiting Professorship in Civil and Environmental Engineering was established at Mānoa through an anonymous donor’s gift of $1,010,000.
