Mānoa’s Delta Omega Chapter of Eta Kappa Nu (HKN), the electrical and computer engineering honor society, was honored with the Outstanding Chapter Award. This is the fifth year in a row that the Mānoa chapter has won this award, recognizing its contributions to the electrical engineering department, university and surrounding community.
Only 23 out of 175 active university chapters received the Outstanding Chapter Award for the 2009–10 academic year. HKN is a 106-year-old honor society for electrical and computer engineering students and professionals with more than 250,000 members.
HKN also recognized Bao Jun Lei, chapter president, as one of the top five graduating seniors in electrical or computer engineering in the nation for the 2009–10 academic year.
