Finalists for Hawaiʻi County Regent Announced

The Regents Candidate Advisory Council has presented a list of candidates to Gov. Neil Abercrombie to fill a Hawaiʻi County seat on the Board of Regents. Gov. Abercrombie must select his nominee for the Board of Regents from this list, and the appointment must be confirmed by the state Senate during the next legislative session.

The next recruitment process will begin in a few months to fill the seats of four members whose terms will expire on June 30, 2012. These members fill one City and County of Honolulu seat, a Kauaʻi County seat, an at large seat and a student seat.
