Windward’s Palikū Theatre presents the blockbuster Andrew Lloyd Webber musical The Phantom of the Opera directed by Ron Bright, Sept. 9–Oct. 9. The central plot revolves around a beautiful soprano, Christine Daaé, who becomes the obsession of a mysterious, disfigured musical genius.
The Phantom of the Opera hasn’t been done professionally in Honolulu since 1993. The costumes are designed by multiple-Poʻokela winner Evette Tanouye Allerdings, the score will be conducted by musical director Clarke Bright and the spectacular sets and lights are designed by Lloyd “Sandy” Riford.
