Getting Connected
What is the first thing I need to do to get connected to UHM's virtual community?
Obtain a UH username in order to access UHM's online services. Obtaining a UH email account is essential for a number of reasons:
- Registering at UH is done totally online
- Important University offices - academic advising, cashier's, financial aid, and your major department, etc. - will contact you only through your hawaii.edu email
- A UH account is required to reserve a space in orientation
NOTE: If you have a preferred email account, be sure to have your UH email account forwarded to that email address.
The New Student Orientation staff will also communicate with you via your UH email account, so it's a good idea to get into the habit of checking it frequently.
How do I stay informed about the UHM campus?
Visit and bookmark the UHM homepage at http://manoa.hawaii.edu. Using the top navigation bar, access this site to find out more about UHM and to locate information you may need now.
