Dates and Prices
Congratulations on your student's acceptance to the University of Hawai'i at Manoa! The staff and leaders of the New Student Orientation (NSO) program are excited to meet you and welcome you and your student to the UH-Manoa (UHM) campus.
The New Student Orientation Parent Program, which runs concurrent of the student sessions but is a separate program, provides academic, co-curricular, and campus resource information for parents. The program was designed to help parents and families of new students understand what their newly admitted UHM student might be experiencing as they transition from another institution of learning.
Parents and family members of an incoming students need only to attend one of the orientation sessions. For example, a parent attending Week of Welcome orientation sessions would not need to consider also signing up for a 1-day session. The reason being is that the information provided during the 1-day sessions and during WoW is the same- it is the format and delivery of the information that is different. However, those who want to attend both a one-day session and Week of Welcome orientation sessions are more than welcome to. If this is something of interest to you, please contact our office to find out about the registration cost for attending both sessions (one-day session and Week of Welcome) as a discount is available.
